Products and Services
Vaughan installs and maintains various types of heating and air conditioning systems. The following is a brief explanation of the types of systems we deal with on a regular basis. Below the descriptions are links to manufacturer web sites in case more information is required.
Basic Types of Systems
Central Heating & Air Conditioning Systems- The most common central system is a split system, including an indoor air handler and coil as well as an outdoor condenser unit and coil. This type of system works by transferring heat between the warm air blowing across the inside coil and the cool refrigerant inside the coil . The heated refrigerant is then cooled by the outside condenser and the cycle repeats itself. The central heat system is very similar except the cool refrigerant is substituted with heat strips or warm air from a furnace.
Heat Pump System- A heat pump is an all-in-one heating and cooling system. When the air is cold outside the heat pump extracts any heat from outside and transfers it inside. When the air outside is warm, the heat pump extracts heat from your home like an air conditioner.

Geothermal Systems- Geothermal systems utilize the consistent temperature of ground water to heat and cool your home. Instead of using outside air as a heat or cool source, a geothermal system taps the earth's surface and exchanges heat between water loops connected to the unit and the ground water.
